| Chatelard Halt |
Today we took the train to Chatelard. It took only four minutes but was all very much uphill. From here there is a wonderful view over Montreux, Vevey and the lake. The sun was very hot indeed.

| We watched two paddle steamers pass near Clarens. The Italie on the right and La Suisse on the left. |
This is such a beautiful peaceful spot, as the crow flies it is very close to our apartment.

We took a trolley bus into La Tour de Pelitz and found a very good restaurant for pizza then another trolley bus back to Montreux to book tickets for a cruise on the lake tomorrow.

| While we were buying tickets for tomorrow La Suisse came in briefly. The paddle steamers seem to run with a great deal of precision. |
