We went over to the rue Gaite at lunch time to find that M and Mme. Thiery were still there but were closing as of Saturday 29 December. It seems that a fast food joint will replace M. Thiery's wonderful cuisine.

We spoke to M. Thiery who mentioned that we were the only people who had had his New Year's Eve meal every year for the last ten years.
The good news, sort of, is that the husband and wife team are still at Diva et Chocolat. They dearly want to sell up and move but so far it has been impossible. We came away with a bagette tradition and a tarte au citron,
We managed to find the cheese shop Androuet open this morning. Their selection of cheeses is amazing.
